Maintenance Technician

Role: Maintenance Technician supporting bioprocessing facilities for cell therapy manufacturing at Allogene. Objectives: ensure facility and equipment are maintained in GMP-compliant conditions to support production and lab operations. Responsibilities: perform routine maintenance on utility and lab equipment, monitor contractor performance, support facility needs including safety and lab support, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (FDA, OSHA, EPA). Requirements: high school diploma or trade certification, 3+ years in a similar role, experience with GMP facilities, knowledge of HVAC, electrical, process systems; ability to lift 50 lbs., work after hours, and independently prioritize tasks. Preferred: experience with BMS systems, prior GMP experience. High-Value: facilities support for cell therapy (AlloCAR T), GMP compliance, maintenance in biotech manufacturing environments, exposure to engineering disciplines, and ability to work in a regulated, safety-critical setting. WorkSetup: on-site in South San Francisco or Newark, CA, with some after-hours and on-call support required.
