Maintenance Technician

Role: Maintenance Technician responsible for electrical systems operation and maintenance at Amgen's ARI site, supporting biotech manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include operating and troubleshooting electrical power generation/distribution, backup/emergency power systems, and fire alarm systems; performing scheduled and corrective maintenance; and ensuring compliance with safety and cGMP standards. Requirements: High school diploma/GED plus 1 year of electrical maintenance or military experience, or an associate degree; strong electrical troubleshooting skills; ability to interpret electrical schematics; and experience with industrial electrical systems. Preferred: Rhode Island Journeyperson Electrician License, 5+ years of electrical/utilities experience, biotech industry familiarity, and knowledge of regulated environments. High-value biopharma specifics: industrial electrical systems, regulatory compliance, utility systems, and potential work within biotech manufacturing settings. Collaboration likely with operations, safety, and quality teams, with work scheduled on a 12-hour night shift (7PM-7AM) with a 15% shift differential and occasional support outside regular hours.
