Position Overview
- Provide support for manufacturing and facilities maintenance at the Raleigh, NC plant.
- Work safely and with quality; support all departments and interact professionally with vendors/contractors.
Responsibilities
- Maintain/repair production equipment (aseptic filling equipment, tray loading, storage tanks, autoclave sterilizers, component parts washers).
- Perform general facility repairs (lighting, doors, card reader, security, fire system).
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.
- Use/administer Computerized Maintenance Management Software (with Manager).
- Maintain cleanliness of Maintenance and Utility areas.
- Execute small projects independently (when requested).
- Be available for 24-hour call-in (when requested) and meet attendance requirements.
- Assist in safety procedures and cGMP implementation.
- Execute aseptic behaviors/techniques, including aseptic gowning.
- Follow SOPs and documentation procedures; perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Required
- High School Diploma/GED.
- 2+ years maintenance experience in facilities/utilities/electrical/HVAC/industrial equipment/controls.
- 1+ year cGMP maintenance experience in pharmaceutical operations (broad knowledge of clean utilities, HVAC, industrial equipment, controls).
Skills / Required
- Strong mechanical/electrical/controls aptitude; basic electrical knowledge (diagnosing motor/breaker issues, replacing electrical equipment, troubleshooting).
- Strong math/science; computer use.
- Attention to detail; strong communication; follow good documentation practices.
Physical Requirements
- Lift/move up to 50 lbs; stand for long periods; bend/twist; climb ladders; work indoors/outdoors in all weather.
