Role Overview
- Provide maintenance support and mechanical system operations for cGMP Clinical and Commercial Cell Therapy Manufacturing on a modified second shift (approximately noonβ8:30pm).
- Partner with Technical Operations to support safe, compliant, personalized cell therapy production per cGMP; support facility build/ramp-up and approvals for commercial launch.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC (including clean room HVAC), refrigeration, clean steam, cryogenic storage, and process equipment; apply reactive, preventive, and predictive maintenance (plumbing/pipefitting/millwright work; journeyman in at least one craft).
- Perform minor upgrades/installations of facilities and systems.
- Maintain on-site equipment and critical utilities; support projects, cost-improvement, asset management, reliability, and operations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and drawings; follow codes/regulations and company/site procedures.
- Maintain required licensing/certifications and training.
- Use GDP documentation on CMMS work orders.
- Troubleshoot/repair instrumentation, electrical devices, circuits, switchgear, controls, motors up to 600 volts; operate/monitor switchgear.
- Use building automation/environmental monitoring knowledge (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors).
- Support maintenance-driven quality events (Deviations/Investigations, OOTs, Change Controls, RCA, FMEA).
- Support maintenance goals and continuous improvement; ensure compliance with applicable regulations (FDA/EPA/OSHA/DEA/TSA as applicable).
Requirements/Qualifications
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in relevant field OR High School diploma with equivalent experience.
- Trade/Technical School certification or craft certification (military equivalent acceptable).
- 8+ years in industrial manufacturing/regulated environment; ideally cGMP aseptic cleanroom experience.
- Proficiency in more than one craft.
- CMMS experience required; English proficiency.
Preferred Skills
- Pharmaceutical industry experience; aseptic cleanroom experience; HVAC and cleanroom maintenance.
