The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for decision-making to Maintenance mechanics through Perrigo Maintenance Foundations using TPM as the core basis for safe, sanitary, and profitable manufacturing facility operations, ensuring adequate team coverage and product integrity using accepted/approved GMP manufacturing and documentation principles.
Facilitate (and perform) root cause analysis of technical issues affecting line efficiencies and drive action plans against key technical downtime causes. Proactively lead maintenance teams in planned and reactive maintenance, including coordination and execution of technical PMs and daily preventative maintenance. Work with Engineers and the Maintenance Planner to optimize PM content and execution intervals for production equipment. Lead skilled tradesmen and participate in hands-on maintenance activities.
2nd shift: 3pmโ12am.
Responsibilities
- Review and complete daily Maintenance Foundation Documents (SAP/AMM and record keeping)
- Supervise daily activities and projects of maintenance personnel
- Evaluate training needs; ensure mechanics are equipped to perform
- Review and document timecards/attendance; provide input for performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with preventative and predictive maintenance; ensure on-time completion; review/update PM tasks with the Planner
- Align daily/weekly with Production and maintenance planners for PM planning/scheduling cycles
- Provide inputs for annual maintenance, engineering, and compliance budgets
- Write, review, and revise departmental SOPs related to Engineering and Maintenance
- Develop and participate in production efficiency improvements using problem-solving tools
- Participate in PWS tasks (Shift Hand Over, RCA, Breakdown Analysis)
- Review key performance indicators for daily performance
- Participate in TPM-PM Pillar and PWS Teams (owning Systems and Tools)
- Facilitate team meetings when required; provide daily/weekend support
- Work closely with Engineering, Safety, Production, Quality, and support groups
- Follow factory safety/environmental objectives and plant safety rules; report incidents/unsafe conditions immediately
- Maintain compliance with applicable regulations and Safety/Environmental Management System(s)
- Reduce environmental impacts (e.g., conserve paper/electricity/water) and recycle appropriate materials
Qualifications / Experience Required
- Associateโs Degree (preferred: electromechanical or related field) + 5 years maintenance experience; OR Technical Diploma (preferred: electromechanical or related field) + 7 years maintenance experience
- Bachelorโs Degree in Engineering or related field (preferred)
- 1โ3 years supervisory experience (preferably in a union environment)
- TPM experience
- Experience with automation systems for process controls (preferred)
- Experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
