Role Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor provides decision-making to Maintenance mechanics using TPM as the core basis for safe, sanitary, and profitable operation of the manufacturing facility. Ensures adequate team coverage and product integrity in accordance with GMP manufacturing and documentation principles. Leads root cause analysis of technical issues, drives action plans for downtime, and coordinates both planned and reactive maintenance with hands-on leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Review and complete daily Maintenance Foundation Documents; SAP/AMM and record keeping
  • Supervise the daily activities and projects of maintenance personnel
  • Evaluate training needs to ensure mechanics are properly equipped to perform their jobs
  • Review and document team members' daily timecards and attendance records; provide input for performance evaluations
  • Ensure compliance with preventative and predictive maintenance, on-time completion, and regular PM reviews; optimize PMs with Planner
  • Align daily/weekly with Production and maintenance planners for PM planning and scheduling cycles
  • Provide inputs for development of annual budgets for maintenance, engineering, and compliance

Inter-Departmental Communication

  • Write, review, and revise departmental SOPs related to Engineering and Maintenance
  • Develop and participate in production efficiency improvements using problem-solving tools
  • Participate in Perrigo Work System tasks (Shift Hand Over, Root Cause Analysis, Breakdown Analysis)
  • Review key performance indicators for daily performance
  • Core member of TPM-PM Pillar and PWS Teams; own Systems and Tools
  • Prepare for and facilitate team meetings; provide daily/weekend support
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Safety, Production, Quality, and all support functional groups

Safety and Environmental

  • Follow factory safety and environmental objectives and targets
  • Follow plant safety rules and report incidents/unsafe conditions immediately
  • Maintain compliance with regulations; reference Safety & Environmental Management System(s) for related procedures
  • Understand environmental aspects of the position and take action to reduce impacts (conserve paper, electricity, water; recycle appropriate materials)

Experience Required

  • Associates Degree (electromechanical or related engineering field) with 5 years of maintenance experience or Technical Diploma with 7 years of maintenance experience
  • Bachelorβ€šΓ„Γ΄s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred
  • 1β€šΓ„Γ¬3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a union environment
  • Experience with automation systems for process controls preferred
  • Experience in a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • TPM experience
