Shift Available:
- Monday–Friday, Onsite Afternoon Shift, 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Provide mechanical/electrical expertise for inspections, maintenance, and repair of facility, utility, and process equipment in owned/leased GMP sites.
- Perform general and preventative maintenance.
- Inspect, maintain, test, troubleshoot, adjust, repair/replace plumbing, mechanical, and electrical components (as applicable) for water systems, plumbing, lab gas/vacuum distribution, water purification, and selected processing equipment.
- Maintain and provide operational oversight of rotating equipment (air compressors, vacuum systems, water purification, process chillers, dust collectors).
- Maintain and provide operational oversight of environmentally controlled units (refrigerators, freezers, incubators, cryo freezers, stability chambers).
- Maintain cGMP documentation (log books, work tickets, GMP paperwork) and work per safety procedures.
- Train colleagues; work with internal/external partners; provide cGMP oversight of external vendors.
- Assist during emergencies, manpower shortages, or when technical help is needed.
Knowledge & Skills (required/preferred):
- Expert mechanical systems/plumbing/codes; general electrical knowledge (VFDs/control systems).
- Strong written/verbal communication and customer service.
- Basic Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook.
- Read blueprints/drawings/schematics/specifications/codes; solve technical problems; meet timelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (Associate’s degree/Technical Diploma preferred).
- 7+ years industrial plumbing/mechanical experience.
- GMP facility experience.
Working Conditions:
- Mechanical spaces/labs/regulated and confined spaces; lift >50 lbs; work on ladders/platforms; may require respirator and medical surveillance.
- Up to 40+ hours/week; on-call for emergency response, overtime, weekends; work with hazardous materials/chemicals and GMP gowning as required.
