Shift Available:
- Monday–Friday, Onsite Night Shift, 10:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m.
Responsibilities:
- Provide mechanical and electrical expertise for inspections, maintenance, and repair of facility, utility, and process equipment at GPDO GMP NJ sites; ensure work is safe and compliant with cGMP.
- Perform general and preventative maintenance; respond to customer requests.
- Inspect/maintain/test/troubleshoot/repair/replace plumbing, mechanical, and electrical components for domestic water, commercial plumbing, laboratory gas/vacuum distribution, water purification, and selected processing equipment.
- Maintain rotating equipment (air compressors, vacuum systems, water purification, process chillers, dust collectors).
- Maintain environmentally controlled units (refrigerators, freezers, incubators, cryo freezers, stability chambers).
- Maintain cGMP documentation (log books, work tickets, GMP paperwork); use tools/materials safely.
- Train colleagues; coordinate with internal/external partners; provide cGMP vendor oversight.
- Assist during emergencies, manpower shortages, or when technical help is needed.
Knowledge & Skills (required/preferred):
- Expert mechanical/plumbing/code knowledge; general electrical knowledge (VFDs, control systems).
- Strong written/verbal communication and customer service; solve technical problems; meet schedules.
- Proficient with MS Word/Excel/Outlook.
- Read blueprints/drawings/schematics/specifications/codes.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED (Associate’s degree or Technical Diploma preferred).
- 7+ years industrial plumbing/mechanical experience.
- GMP facility experience.
Working Conditions (high level):
- Laboratory/regulated environments; confined spaces; lift >50 lbs; elevated platforms/ladders; medical surveillance/possible respirator; 40+ hrs/week; on-call for emergencies/overtime/weekends; hazardous materials.
Compensation:
- $35.76–$43.33 per hour (Summit West–NJ–US).
