Maintenance Mechanic Sunday - Thursday 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Position Summary: Under minimal supervision, supports maintenance operations using best practices, safety programs, good documentation, and cGMP (preventive maintenance, diagnosing, ordering parts, repairs, and scheduling).
Hours: Shift Sunday–Thursday, 2:00pm–10:30pm; some mandatory overtime; on-call rotations, including holidays.
Position Responsibilities:
- Schedule and execute preventive/corrective work orders.
- Manage spare parts inventory.
- Lead improvements via equipment/process assessments.
- Operate within maintenance operating budget.
- Assist Team Leader/EHS with safety and environmental programs.
- Perform cGMP paperwork (work orders, task sheets, equipment logbooks).
- Participate in confined space entries; perform sewer sampling.
- Repair equipment for rest rooms/break room/lockers/admin/warehouse/attic areas.
- Maintain housekeeping; demonstrate reliable attendance.
- Learn/comply with APHIS, State, IEPA, OSHA, and Zoetis requirements.
- Implement Maintenance Best Practices; coordinate contractors/maintenance/production.
- Investigate labor/parts/tools/equipment needs; develop maintenance completion plans.
- Develop predictive/preventive maintenance programs.
- Operate welding shop/tools (TIG/arc welding, grinding, cutting, drill press, etc.).
- Participate in White Hall maintenance on-call program.
Education/Experience: Associate’s in electro-mechanical or related field; 5 years maintenance/repair experience.
Technical Skills (Required): understand directions; communicate; teamwork; basic math; accurate cGMP documentation; visually identify minute quality flaws; interpret blueprints/schematics.
Preferred: safe industrial work (LOTO, confined space, hot work permits, asbestos materials); PC skills (Excel/Word/databases); perform timely duties per site program; leadership.
Physical: flexible hours/on-call; lift 20–50 lbs; standing/bending/climbing/stooping; may face temperature variations; work nights/weekends/holidays as needed.
Base wage range: $22.08/hour–$35.31/hour (full-time).
