Role Summary
Maintenance Mechanic for the Night shift (6pm–6am ET) on a rotating 2/2/3 schedule. Performs maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and facilities, with responsibilities that include machine rebuilding, repair, preventative maintenance, and equipment moves. Works with other technicians across shifts to improve processes, productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. Journeyperson certification or willingness to complete certification is required.
Responsibilities
- Performs maintenance and troubleshoots the mechanical aspects of manufacturing equipment and facilities in compliance with standard operating procedures
- Performs machine rebuilding, repair and troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and moves equipment
- Completes general work orders and interfaces with other technicians and plant personnel across all shifts in a team environment
- Continuously looks for and helps to implement improvements to the process, productivity, quality and reduce costs
- Performs special projects and other related duties specific to the department as assigned
Qualifications
- Required: High School Diploma or Equivalency
- Required: 5+ years of solid maintenance experience across multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.)
- Required: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with CMMS (e.g., SAP) and ability to navigate computer-based training systems
- Required: Ability to read and work from blueprints
- Required: Strong math and reading comprehension; ability to read, speak, and comprehend English; ability to proofread alpha and numeric data
- Required: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Required: Ability to meet locally defined training requirements
- Required: Journeyperson certification or willingness to complete the certification program; completion of Journeyperson certification is a requirement

- Physical demands: stand, walk, lift substantial weights (up to 75 lbs regularly; up to 50 lbs overhead occasionally); climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching; occasional sitting
- Environmental: exposure to loud noises/machinery and chemicals; occasional hot conditions (90+ degrees)
