Role Summary

Maintenance Mechanic II. Responsible for performing and documenting preventative and corrective maintenance on a variety of process equipment, packaging equipment and utility systems within a cGMP manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document all corrective and preventative maintenance activities performed on GMP facility equipment and/or utility systems in accordance with GDP requirements on process, filling and packaging and support equipment
  • Respond to emergency service calls and resolve identified issues in a timely manner and in accordance with all safety, quality and compliance requirements
  • Assist in the installation/qualification of new equipment/facility upgrades
  • Assist/supervise outside contractors working on site
  • Perform weekend walkthrough duties according to schedule
  • Participate in an On-Call rotation for off hour facility emergencies
  • Ensure that all required quality and safety training is completed on time and current
  • Provide general maintenance and support to all departments as directed
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Requires a minimum High School Diploma, with trade school training preferred
  • Requires a minimum of 4 years experience in a maintenance environment, preferably in a cGMP facility
  • General working knowledge of production/packaging equipment
  • General working knowledge of HVAC systems
  • Ability to work autonomously, effectively manage time to achieve goals and objectives
  • Ability to follow directions specifically
  • Professional interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Basic Windows operating system skills

Skills

  • Experience with BMS (Building Management Systems) [Preferred]
  • Experience with CMMS system for tracking maintenance work orders [Preferred]

Education

  • High School Diploma required; trade school training preferred

Additional Requirements

  • 2I Industrial Wastewater Treatment license or the ability to obtain one within one year of employment [Preferred]
  • Ability to obtain a Commonwealth of MA Special Operators License for Steam Boilers within one year of employment [Preferred]
  • Broad trade knowledge including plumbing and general mechanical skills
