BioMarin’s Technical Operations group is responsible for creating our drugs for use in clinical trials and for scaling production of those drugs for the commercial market. These engineers, technicians, scientists and support staff build and maintain BioMarin’s cutting-edge manufacturing processes and sites, provide quality assurance and quality control to ensure we meet regulatory standards, and procure the needed goods and services to support manufacturing and coordinating the worldwide movement of our drugs to patients.
Position: Maintenance Mechanic 2 (Graveyard Shift)
This is a Graveyard Shift position, Sunday through Wednesday, 0830PM-0700AM. Responsible for the operation and preventive maintenance (per SOP requirements) of all purified system (RO, DI, WFI) and associated equipment, pure steam generators, Plant Steam, utilities, process and manufacturing equipment.
Minimum 2+ years ‘experience in highly regulated industry or GMP environment.
High School Diploma
College degree (Associates/Bachelors), Technical Certification, military technical training, or equivalent experience or Journeyman skill level in a trade.
Purified water systems (RO, DI, WFI) and associated equipment, pure steam generators, plant steam boilers, air compressors, vacuum systems, chillers, HVAC units and associated equipment, hot water, waste treatment and other miscellaneous equipment.
Autoclaves, Glassware washer, Bioreactors, Chromatography skids, Media and Buffer tanks, CIP skids, fermenters, Ultrafiltration, cold rooms, HTST system, Homogenizer, Centrifuges, heat tanks, cold rooms and some other associated equipment.

The salary range for this position is: $73,600 to $101,200. BioMarin considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
