As Maintenance Manager, you will provide leadership and direction to trades personnel in the delivery of maintenance activities, supporting maintenance and operations requirements for maintenance services with an annual budget of approximately $4MM.
Objectives: meet maintenance needs for manufacturing operations with high quality, rapid response, customer service, and low cost. Responsible for day-to-day department activities including managing the department budget, Performance Excellence, quality of work, skills development, workload assessment and assignment, training, and coaching/counseling.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure equipment reliability expectations in a 24/7, high-throughput, API production facility.
- Lead coordination and execution of maintenance and facilities operations while ensuring maintenance practices, procedures, Safety Policies, and quality policies are followed; track monthly maintenance metrics; balance production support and maintenance needs with long-term strategic objectives.
- Manage plant tools, spare parts, and equipment (hand tools, communication devices, forklift trucks, heavy equipment) and maintain computers/software for maintenance operations.
- Support the Plant Manager in developing and tracking KPIs and driving improvements.
- Serve as project manager/site engineer for departmental initiatives and capital projects; lead budget, scope, and schedule development.
- Serve as the conduit for communication within the department (leadership to direct reports and direct reports to area management).
- Manage external support groups (Cintas, pest control, groundskeepers, utilities).
Qualifications:
- College degree or equivalent experience; strong problem solving and analysis skills; technical degree (Engineering or Science) preferred.
- 5+ years experience in chemical/pharmaceutical processing equipment maintenance, facilities maintenance, reliability engineering, or related; 2–4 years supervisory/management experience.
- cGMP experience highly desired.
