Responsibilities:
- Oversee night-shift maintenance and automation activities, ensuring team compliance with safety practices and strong housekeeping standards.
- Ensure quality compliance with cGMPs and site procedures while managing staffing, performance, and daily operations across multiple shifts.
- Drive maintenance excellence: high-quality maintenance execution, training readiness, KPI performance, and alignment with production needs.
- Review work orders; investigate deviations; lead incident reporting and corrective actions to support reliable 24/7 manufacturing.
Key Deliverables:
- Safety: Lead accident/near-miss reviews and incident notifications; maintain housekeeping procedures.
- Quality: Ensure team compliance with cGMPs, Global Quality Standards, and local procedures.
- Manage People Effectively: Manage daily maintenance operations up to 7 days/week (attendance, overtime, operational issues, performance management, development planning, and results reporting).
- Maintenance Excellence: Ensure quality of maintenance execution and RFU; train/develop team and confirm training prior to assignments; manage maintenance KPIs; align team priorities to production plan; interface with customers; complete weekly practice vs procedure checks; review sampling of executed work orders; investigate team deviations.
- Own incident reporting, investigating, and corrective measures.
Basic Requirements:
- 5 years manufacturing or maintenance experience in a leadership/supervisory role.
- High School/GED minimum.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. full-time; Lilly will not sponsor visas.
Required/Preferred Skills:
- Prior supervisory/leadership experience.
- Knowledge of parenteral or packaging maintenance operations/processes or other GMP manufacturing; formulation/filling/device assembly/packaging knowledge.
- Communicate effectively (written/verbal) across organizational levels; coach/feedback; prioritize and meet targets.
- High-level customer service; work with minimal supervision; problem solving.
- CMMS desired; general understanding of PLC/HMI/networking; electrical concepts.
- Experience with device assembly and packaging equipment.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Flexible for 24/7 operations; may require overtime during peak periods; carry a cell phone for off-hour emergencies.
- Consider mobility/exposure to allergens in parenteral plant.
- Minimal travel.
