Summary/Job Purpose
The Senior Staff Engineer β Client Technology is responsible for ownership, security, and governance of one or more IT platforms/products, solving complex issues across interdependent systems.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Own overall strategy/execution; drive alignment between technology and business needs and product interdependencies.
- Product Development & Delivery: Make engineering decisions across platforms; identify systemic issues and build robust, scalable solutions; manage interdependencies; test fixes/enhancements across environments; develop and maintain secure, self-documented scripts with error handling and logging.
- Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate to align platform capabilities with business needs; incorporate customer feedback into the roadmap; influence engineering decisions for stakeholder needs and business priorities.
- Operational Excellence, Quality & Compliance: Drive operational/technical excellence; document architecture/configurations/procedures; decide access/permissions/security controls; lead incident response and root-cause analysis; implement audit/regulatory support controls.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as SME; mentor/coach junior engineers.
Education/Experience/Knowledge & Skills (Required)
- Associate degree + 11 years; or Bachelorβs + 9 years; or Masterβs + 7 years; or equivalent; technical certification may be required.
Experience/Skills
- Own Apple/mobile endpoint engineering (macOS, iPadOS, iOS/Android BYOD) with Windows endpoint partnership.
- Operate macOS management via Microsoft Intune (MDM/DDM), including profiles, compliance, monitoring/reporting, and day-2 support; maintain Jamf continuity while evolving toward Intune-first.
- Define/maintain Mac/iPad standards; integrate identity/access/compliance (Entra registration, device compliance signaling, Conditional Access).
- Own iPadOS management and BYOD iOS/Android via Intune MAM/App Protection Policies.
- Drive automation/scalable management using scripting, AI, and tooling; establish AI workflow guardrails.
- Review/approve AI-assisted operational changes; document architectures; define escalation patterns for AI workflow failures.
- Proven experience securing complex IT platforms; lead technical projects; mentor; make enterprise access/security decisions.
- Strong scripting/automation (production-grade code); familiarity with security frameworks/governance; Agile + ticketing (e.g., JIRA/JSM).

Benefits
- Base pay range: $149,000β$212,000 annually.
