As a LTC Sales Specialist, youโll own a defined LTC territory and strategically expand business by identifying opportunities and delivering solutions for facilities and care teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with LTC resident care team members (physicians, NP/PA, consultant pharmacists, dispensing pharmacists, and nursing facility leadership/staff).
- Promote Acadia products with compliant clinical, disease-state, and reimbursement education.
- Address questions, concerns, and objections using advanced selling skills.
- Use customer knowledge and local/regional market trends to drive business planning.
- Create and execute quarterly territory business/action plans using data to maximize reach, frequency, and impact within budget.
- Provide guidance on pricing, reimbursement, and LTC profitability parameters; liaise on access-related questions.
- Collaborate with sales management and cross-functional partners (managed markets, marketing, operations, training).
- Represent Acadia at conferences, product launches, and training; contribute to regional/national initiatives.
- Mentor/train new/junior Sales Specialists and participate in cross-functional projects.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and LTC regulations.
Knowledge/Skills (Preferred/Required):
- In-depth neuroscience and LTC/Payer knowledge (Part A, Part D), specialty distribution, and LTC regulations.
- Proficiency: Microsoft Office and virtual platforms (Zoom/WebEx).
- Bachelorโs degree required; life sciences preferred.
- Sales experience: Specialist 1โ2 years; Sr. 5 years (2+ complex/account-based); Executive 12 years (3+ complex/account-based).
- Advanced negotiation/selling; ability to influence diverse HCP audiences.
- Reside within territory (or within 30 miles); valid driverโs license; ability to travel up to 80%.
