Local Study Operations Manager TA Head
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop Local Study Operations Senior Managers to strengthen leadership, functional expertise, and performance.
- Oversee delivery of the country study portfolio (scope, timelines, budgets) aligned to global and local objectives.
- Guide portfolio monitoring, local action plans, and resolution of issues; act as primary escalation point for complex/systemic local study challenges.
- Lead mentorship and development of LSOM Senior Managers; build a high-performing leadership team.
- Standardize processes, promote best practices, encourage digital innovation, and share knowledge/lessons learned.
- Coordinate country functional teams; collaborate with global study strategy teams.
- Advise on country study placements, site selection, and resource allocation; support country-level risk assessments.
- Ensure inspection readiness and provide hands-on inspection support (including storyboards).
- Manage resource allocation/workload distribution across FSP and FTE; ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the country head to align stakeholders on trial deliverables and manage escalations.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate + 3 years clinical execution OR Master’s + 7 OR Bachelor’s + 9 OR Associate’s + 12 OR HS/GED + 14; plus at least 3 years people management and/or leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years life sciences/medically related (including 6 years biopharmaceutical clinical research; clinical trials at biotech/pharma/CRO).
- Experience managing multiple teams; oversight of CROs/labs/imaging vendors.
- Global clinical trials experience; strong communication; track record improving site engagement, investigator relationships, and operational efficiency.
