Linux & OpenShift Platform Operations Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Support and manage enterprise Linux and OpenShift/Kubernetes/containerized environments (high availability for mission-critical workloads).
- Maintain system stability, automate operational tasks, and improve infrastructure availability/reliability using AI/automation, event-driven automation, and observability.
- Use AI-driven automation tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) to streamline engineering workflows.
- Drive Infrastructure Ops improvements (avoid fixing the same problem twice), and accelerate initiatives like cloud IaaS management and infrastructure-as-code.
- Perform troubleshooting and Linux system administration at enterprise scale; lead incident/root-cause analysis and ITIL-based change management (ServiceNow).

Qualifications (Required):
- Bachelorโ€™s in CS/IT or related field.
- 5+ years as a Linux OS/Platform Engineer.
- Cloud IaaS experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) including architecture, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Demonstrated/exposure to AI-enabled automation tools (e.g., Claude Code/Codex).
- Experience leading global large-scale infrastructure projects.

Additional Skills/Preferences:
- RHEL/Ubuntu/SLES; OpenShift/Kubernetes; VMware vSphere; Linux networking (DNS/DHCP/VLAN/firewalls/TCP-IP).
- Ansible/AWX; Bash/Python scripting.
- Splunk (or similar) monitoring; RedHat Satellite; Centri๏ฌy (or similar); GPFS; regulated/healthcare experience.

Role Details:
- Onsite in Indianapolis, IN (relocation required); shift rotation; <5% travel.

Compensation/Benefits (if eligible):
- $64,500โ€“$151,800; possible bonus; 401(k), pension, medical/dental/vision, flexible benefits, life insurance, time off, well-being benefits.
