Job Summary
Provide expert legal advice and counseling to business partners on strategic and tactical projects in a highly regulated environment. Report to Assistant General Counsel. Support departments including Market Access (payer strategy, trade & distribution, government pricing), Government Affairs & Public Policy, and pipeline.

Key Responsibilities
- Advise business partners on commercial initiatives, advancing company strategy while addressing legal risks and protecting integrity/reputation.
- Provide legal counsel on Medicaid, Medicare, 340B program, and Veterans Health Care Act obligations.
- Advise on market access and reimbursement.
- Advise on government pricing and price reporting compliance (including reasonable assumptions documents).
- Review CMS final rules and correspondence (letters/public comments on proposed rules/guidance).
- Advise on federal and state legislation impacting market access, pricing, reimbursement, and state drug price reporting/transparency compliance.
- Advise on services and contracting for specialty distributors and specialty pharmacies.
- Support data and special projects; brand strategic planning and business operation plans.
- Stay current on evolving healthcare laws/regulations and enforcement.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies, including Anti-kickback Statute and other U.S. healthcare compliance laws.
- Collaborate with legal colleagues supporting commercial, pipeline, and privacy.
- Review select materials in the Communication Review Committee.

Legal & Compliance Support
- Participate in Legal & Compliance projects/initiatives and committees (e.g., Culture and Pro Bono & Community Engagement).
- Share knowledge through group presentations and discussions.

Qualifications / Skills
- JD from ABA-accredited law school; member of a state bar.
- 8+ years post-JD life sciences legal experience (law firm and/or in-house).
- Government price reporting experience.
- Experience advising on statutes/regulations/guidance for market access, including Medicaid, 340B, VA matters, anti-kickback statutes, state drug pricing transparency laws, OIG guidance/advisory opinions, False Claims Act, and PhRMA Code.
- Strong communication (verbal/written) to lawyers and non-lawyers; sound business-focused legal judgment.
- Advanced contracting and redlining skills; strong attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities with quality/timeliness.
- Ability to manage outside counsel and adhere to budget.
- Specialty medicines legal experience highly desired.
