Job Summary:
Provide expert legal advice and counseling to business partners on strategic and tactical projects in a highly regulated environment, supporting Market Access, Government Affairs & Public Policy, and pipeline. Report to Assistant General Counsel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on commercial initiatives, advancing company strategy while addressing legal risks and protecting reputation.
- Provide legal counsel on Medicaid/Medicare/340B/Veterans Health Care Act obligations; market access and reimbursement; government pricing and price reporting compliance; CMS final rules and correspondence; proposed/enacted federal and state legislation affecting market access/pricing/reimbursement and state transparency laws.
- Advise on services/contracting for specialty distributors and pharmacies; data and special projects; brand strategic planning and business operation plans.
- Monitor evolving healthcare legislation/regulations and enforcement landscape.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies, including Anti-kickback Statute and other healthcare compliance laws.
- Collaborate with legal colleagues (commercial, pipeline, privacy); review select materials for Communication Review Committee.
- Participate in Legal & Compliance initiatives and share knowledge via presentations/discussions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- JD (ABA-accredited); member of a state bar.
- 8+ years post-JD legal experience advising in life sciences (law firm and/or in-house).
- Government price reporting experience.
- Experience with Medicaid, 340B, VA, anti-kickback, state drug pricing transparency, OIG guidance/advisory opinions, False Claims Act, PhRMA Code.
- Strong communication (verbal/written); advanced contracting/redlining; analytical/problem-solving/organizational skills; manage outside counsel/budget.
- Specialty medicines legal advice experience highly desired.

- Base pay range: $214,400β$321,600; annual bonus and annual equity awards; possible overtime.
