Job Summary:
Provide expert legal advice and counseling to business partners on strategic and tactical initiatives in a highly regulated prescription drug market access/government pricing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise business partners on commercial initiatives, managing legal risk and protecting company integrity/reputation.
- Provide legal counsel on: Medicaid/Medicare/340B/Veterans Health Care Act obligations; market access & reimbursement; government pricing and price reporting compliance; Medicare/Medicaid final rules, correspondence, and public comments; federal/state legislation affecting pricing/access and state drug price reporting/transparency compliance; services/contracting for specialty distributors and specialty pharmacies; data/special projects; brand strategic and business operation plans.
- Stay current on evolving healthcare laws/regulations and enforcement.
- Ensure compliance with Anti-kickback Statute and other U.S. healthcare compliance laws.
- Collaborate with legal colleagues (commercial/pipeline/privacy); review select Communication Review Committee materials.
- Support Legal & Compliance Department initiatives and share knowledge via presentations.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school; state bar membership.
- 8+ years post-JD life sciences legal experience (law firm and/or in-house).
- Government price reporting experience.
- Experience with statutes/regulations/guidance for market access (Medicaid, 340B, VA), anti-kickback statutes, state drug pricing transparency laws, OIG guidance/advisory opinions, False Claims Act, and PhRMA Code.
- Advanced contracting/redlining; strong communication (written/verbal) to lawyers and non-lawyers; analytical/problem-solving/organizational skills; manage outside counsel and budgets.
- Specialty medicines legal experience highly desired.
Compensation/Work Arrangement:
- Pay range: $214,400β$321,600; eligible for annual bonus and annual equity; some roles may be eligible for overtime.
- Remote-eligible (Remote/Hybrid/On-site options per Flex designation).
