Role Summary

The Legal Head of Global Commercial will oversee legal support for one of Perrigo's Commercial clusters (regions), providing legal oversight and strategic guidance for commercial activities, and leading the Commercial Legal team across Perrigo. This role blends legal expertise with strategic vision, supporting sales operations on regional or global levels and collaborating cross-functionally to implement best-practice ways of working. Based in North America (Grand Rapids, MI) or remote locations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead legal support for one Commercial cluster (region), advising on the commercial path to market and activation of global category strategies at market or regional levels, including pricing and commercial practices, local marketing strategies, contract manufacturing, anti-trust, eCommerce, and collaboration with Category Legal, IP and Global Contracting lawyers
  • Provide other strategic legal support and guidance to the business as required
  • Train commercial teams on key legal topics
  • Lead other lawyers and legal professionals supporting the Commercial clusters (regions) within Perrigo
  • Set up the Commercial Legal team for success by implementing best-practice workflows

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school with Bar admission; minimum 12+ years of professional legal experience in-house or at a law firm
  • Comprehensive knowledge of legal, regulatory and commercial processes with strong strategic thinking
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; provide pragmatic and proportionate legal advice
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with strong interpersonal and written communication abilities
  • Experience managing and developing teams, and handling executive-level relationships; enterprise-wide program development and management experience
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate legal advice into actionable business strategies
  • Experience advising sales and commercial teams on path to market, including commercial contracts, anti-trust, promotional practices, and other legal issues related to global category strategies at regional or market levels

Education
