Role Summary
Responsibilities
Lead legal support for one of the Commercial clusters (regions), advising on the commercial path to market and activation of global category strategies on a market or regional level, including:
pricing and commercial practices and strategies
local marketing strategies
contract manufacturing
anti-trust
eCommerce
collaborating with Category Legal, IP and Global Contracting lawyers
other strategic legal support and guidance to the business as required
providing training to commercial teams on key legal topics
Leading other lawyers and legal professionals supporting the Commercial clusters (regions) within Perrigo
Setting up the Commercial Legal team for success by implementing best practice ways of working
Qualifications
These skills are typically acquired through the completion of a JD from an accredited law school and Bar admission; combined with a minimum of 12+ years of professional legal experience in-house or in a law firm environment.
Comprehensive knowledge of legal, regulatory & commercial processes, coupled with strong strategic thinking.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to analyze business issues and understand implications of legal decisions, providing pragmatic and proportionate advice.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, including well-developed interpersonal skills and strong written communication skills.
Ability to manage and develop teams, and multiple projects.
Demonstrated ability to manage senior executive relations and ability to collaborate and build relations with stakeholders across functional and organization lines, and enterprise-wide program development and management skills.
Strong business acumen and ability to translate legal advice into actionable business strategies.
Experience advising sales and commercial teams on path to market, including on commercial contracts, anti-trust, promotional practices and other legal issues arising from activating global category strategies at a regional or market level.
Experience managing other individuals preferred.
