Role Summary

Learning & Development Lead, Polycythemia Vera (PV) in US Oncology. Responsible for leading learning and development initiatives to enhance field capabilities, designing strategic training programs for the Oncology pipeline (including PV disease state education), coaching regional leaders and sales teams, and building a feedback loop to measure and sustain learning. Collaborates cross-functionally to improve sales effectiveness and drive a One Oncology approach.

Responsibilities

  • Lead learning and development initiatives to enhance field capabilities, including core selling skills, pre-call planning, use of digital sales tools and sales force execution.
  • Design and execute strategic training program for the Oncology pipeline, including Polycythemia Vera (PV) disease state education.
  • Provide coaching for Regional Directors, Oncology Territory Managers and others to help elevate capabilities and sales training.
  • Develop a training feedback loop system and performance tracking to ensure sustained learning and skill enhancement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to elevate overall sales effectiveness and pull through One Oncology approach.

Qualifications

  • Required: Minimum BS/BA degree with MS/MBA preferred
  • Required: 8+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience or relevant clinical experience
  • Required: 3+ years in oncology/hematology
  • Required: Minimum of 2 years of pharmaceutical sales training experience, or experience in other relevant areas such as marketing, sales operations, or related fields
  • Required: Expert in new product development, setting strategic directions and best practices
  • Required: Proven track record of leading successful initiatives and teams as well as influencing without authority
  • Required: Demonstrated effective leadership and people management skills
  • Required: Proven ability to hold others accountable to deadlines and responsibilities
  • Required: Exceptional planning and organizational skills
  • Required: Creative problem-solving skills
  • Required: Collaborative work style, capable of working effectively in a team environment across departments and organizational levels
  • Required: Ability to develop long-term training programs while remaining focused and deeply involved in executing the immediate next steps
  • Required: Exceptional problem-solving and leadership skills; master at presenting at all levels of the organization
  • Required: Ability to set priorities, deliver on deadlines and develop workflow processes in a dynamic marketplace; strong analytical skills and budget management
  • Required: Understands adult learning techniques and issues in large organizations to deliver tailored strategies to diverse stakeholders
  • Required: Familiar with next generation digital solutions for call planning, training, coaching and capability building
  • Required: Skilled in Microsoft software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Preferred: 1–3 years of clinical experience (e.g., RN, NP, PA, PharmD)
  • Preferred: Experience designing and implementing innovation and training strategies to deliver results
  • Preferred: Strong time management skills, providing strategic coaching and supervision

  • BS/BA required; MS/MBA preferred
