Position Description
The Operations Training Specialist will support start up activities required to bring the area into service, including aseptic isolator barrier filling. They will become the experts within their assigned area and educate their team on proper facility operation. They will design, create, and implement training programs for Parenteral operations (Filling), with continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include evaluation of existing employees and onboarding/upskilling new hires during startup and commercial production. Create and execute training schedules to ensure continuous supply of medicines for operations personnel in the Parenteral Operations department.

Key Objectives/Deliverables
- Maintain a safe work environment; support HSE goals and safety training for Ops (e.g., Safe Start).
- Demonstrate knowledge of procedures, compliance with quality systems, and teach proper techniques.
- Develop strategies to accelerate competency of new hires.
- Administer technical training; ensure operators are trained to perform tasks.
- Coordinate daily on-the-job training for the shift; conduct and evaluate OJT for qualification.
- Coordinate training for individuals returning from LOA.
- Author and revise Ops SOPs; assist with periodic review/validation of SOPs and training materials.
- Track training completion in Success Factors; act as Ops SME on area tours; work with network partners on best practices.

Requirements
- Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
- Effective electronic, written, and verbal communication.
- Computer proficiency (desktop software, MS Office).

Preferred Attributes (but not required)
- STEM degree/certifications; formalized teaching/training experience.
- Pharmaceutical/medical device/food processing experience.
- CGMP knowledge; operations/manufacturing experience.
- Aseptic filling/isolator technology; visual inspection processes.
- MES and electronic batch release; Lean/Six Sigma; highly automated filling equipment.

Additional Skills/Preferences
- Leadership; ability to train/educate; willingness to travel.
- Ability to wear safety equipment.
