Lead Sourcing Engineer – MRI New Product Introduction

Role: Lead sourcing engineer for next-generation MRI Gradient Coil platform, focusing on new product introduction (NPI). Responsibilities: develop sourcing strategies, collaborate with engineering on supplier selection and design reviews, onboard suppliers meeting technical, quality, and cost standards, and drive cost reduction initiatives. Ensure supplier performance and regulatory compliance, mitigate risks, and support early supplier involvement. Requirements: Bachelor’s in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related), 3+ years in sourcing, supplier engineering, or manufacturing within a technical environment, with hands-on experience with engineering specs, drawings, and product requirements. Proven experience in NPI sourcing and supplier collaboration. Preferred: experience in regulated manufacturing sectors (medical device preferred), complex components, and cost negotiations. High-Value: medical device (MRI technology), NPI stages, supplier design input, cost optimization, regulatory adherence. Work Setup: hybrid onsite in Florence, SC (3+ days), with up to 20% domestic travel; relocation support available.
