Johnson & Johnson Surgical Vision is recruiting for Lead Senior Financial Analyst, Global Innovation (Irvine, CA or Jacksonville, FL).
Responsibilities:
- Drive portfolio decisions maximizing growth and long-term value creation for the $1.6B Surgical Vision business.
- Lead financial evaluations and business cases for innovation investments, ensuring disciplined capital allocation, objective return assessment, and alignment with long-term value creation.
- Partner cross-functionally with R&D, Global Marketing, Supply Chain, and Regional teams to align innovation strategy, financial inputs, and execution expectations.
- Deliver insights on market dynamics, pricing, profitability, and portfolio mix to enable data-driven business decisions.
- Serve as a finance thought partner to senior leaders, translating complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Support ad hoc strategic analyses to inform investment, growth, and margin improvement decisions.
- Drive ownership and transparency of platform-level financial performance, supporting delivery of key financial metrics.
- Ensure financial governance, compliance, and controls per J&J policies.
- Improve and standardize financial and innovation processes, including KPI development and post-investment performance tracking.
- Drive simplification and consistency to enhance decision quality, accountability, and scalability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree required (preferably Accounting, Economics, or Finance).
- MBA or financial certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of finance, accounting, or related business experience required.
- Strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, communication skills, and proven leadership capabilities.
- Strong collaborator and business partner; ability to influence all levels.
- Ability to understand and clearly articulate complex concepts.
- Strategic mindset to develop deep insights from external and internal findings.
- Location: Irvine, CA or Jacksonville, FL; up to 15% domestic and international travel.
