Job Position Overview
- Support start-up activities to bring manufacturing equipment into service; become an expert in assigned area and train team.
- Provide on-the-floor tactical leadership for production of API molecules with a safety-first, quality-always approach.
Responsibilities
- Enforce compliance requirements (safety, quality, environmental) and escalate adverse events.
- Operate processes/equipment per batch records, manuals, design parameters, SOPs, and work instructions to meet production schedules.
- Lead tactical day-to-day decisions and prioritize resources during shift.
- Complete daily monitoring, testing, and cleaning per regulatory requirements.
- Lead and model site safety culture; promote accountability.
- Troubleshoot process upsets; integrate operator input and escalate as appropriate.
- Follow safety event reporting/documentation; spill response and Emergency Response as needed.
- Ensure communication at shift passovers and participate in daily shift huddles.
- Ensure cGMP practices, safe work habits, PPE/dress code, hygiene, and housekeeping are followed.
- Partner with management on Foundry strategy/future production needs and continuous improvement projects.
Basic Requirements
- HS Diploma/GED.
- 3+ years directly applicable manufacturing experience; GMP and/or chemical processing strongly preferred.
- 2 years direct leadership/supervisory experience.
- API experience required.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time; no sponsorship/visa support.
Additional Skills/Preferences
- Start-up experience; pharmaceutical/chemical manufacturing incl. PSM-regulated or hazardous chemicals.
- FDA guidelines/cGMP knowledge; organizational skills; lean manufacturing; troubleshooting/triage; technical/math literacy; communication skills; basic computer skills.
Additional Information
- US: Lebanon IN (initially Indianapolis, IN during pre-startup); 5% travel; 12-hour rotating shift; possible nights/weekends/holidays.
