Lead Operator

Key responsibilities:
- Assist in organizing resources to meet the production schedule, quality, cost and safety objectives.
- Ensure efficient operation of assigned production lines; start/stop lines, correct jams, and make minor packaging equipment adjustments.
- Monitor products for compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain inventory control of packaging materials, including auditing materials received and reconciling after production.
- Understand and operate the Statistical Process Control (SPC) system.
- Perform verification of critical packaging operations (e.g., weights, torques, AQL checks, and other specified quality checks).
- Conduct in-process/finished product quality checks during packaging.
- Obtain samples for QC testing and Stability.
- Determine need for QA hold and issue re-inspection, reprocess, and rework as directed.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain packaging area per good housekeeping standards.
- Maintain forms/logs; support FIFO from Materials Department.
- Perform duties of Lead Operator Trainee, Line Operator I and II as needed.
- Perform Material Handler duties when necessary.
- Assist in training temporaries and new employees.

Minimum qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Minimum 10–12 years related experience
