Role Summary

Lead Financial Analyst, Global Supply Chain FP&A – Orthopedics, for an 18-month project at DePuy Synthes. The FP&A consolidation team provides financial leadership to DePuy Synthes global business and has members based in the US, Switzerland, Ireland, and Belgium. This role directly supports approximately $1.6B of Supply Chain spend and is open to candidates based in New Jersey or Pennsylvania. The position involves system and technology implementations and offers high visibility to senior leaders in a dynamic global environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver on business and financial commitments focusing on Supply Chain spend, while maintaining a robust compliance environment.
  • Lead accurate quarterly Latest Thinking and Close processes for Supply Chain spend, managing risks and opportunities vs Forecasts and proactively communicating expected variances.
  • Lead accurate Forecast processes for Supply Chain spend, focusing on key messages and framing when communicating with senior stakeholders to give clear and impactful insights that help shape discussions and outcomes.
  • Champion process improvements by optimizing workflows, supporting automation, and identifying ways to leverage technology enhancements to improve efficiency.
  • Support the Finance Manager through business plan, forecast updates and close cycles, assisting with framing and delivering Supply Chain operating results and total DePuy Synthes Gross Profit analysis to senior business and finance leaders.
  • Partner closely with Finance leaders in the wider DePuy Synthes Supply Chain and Commercial finance teams, working collaboratively to report and explain results.
  • Support Finance Manager in change management across business and finance teams in relation to system and technology implementations, as well as new reporting requirements.
  • Support implementation of new systems and developing technology roadmap.
  • Support ad hoc projects and requests as required.

Qualifications

  • Required: A minimum of Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Required: 5+ years of relevant business experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Required: Strong financial analysis skills and the ability to quickly adapt to use of new systems and tools
  • Required: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Preferred: 1+ years of Supply Chain finance experience
  • Preferred: 1+ years of FP&A experience
  • Preferred: Experience with TM1, SAP, and Anaplan
  • Preferred: Experience with automation tools (Power BI, Power Query, Alteryx, etc.)
