Lead Software Engineer – Finance
Responsibilities:
- Develop and support full-stack, scalable digital products for Finance, embedding security and quality assurance throughout the product lifecycle.
- Oversee engineering efforts on key Finance initiatives; partner with the Product Owner to establish the product backlog, design technical approaches, and ensure alignment with engineering standards.
- Collaborate with Platform Engineering to shape their products, enhance the developer experience, and identify reusable components for enterprise use.
- Coach and upskill engineers; share best practices, problem-solve, and foster a culture of collaboration.
- Promote innovation using rapid prototyping and partner engagement (e.g., hackathons) to explore new technologies.
Qualifications (minimum):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field.
- 5+ years hands-on software engineering experience including:
- Service-oriented/API-centric/Twelve-Factor methodologies.
- DevSecOps product mindset (CI/CD, TDD).
- Cloud-native patterns (Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud) and Kubernetes.
- Scaling API ecosystems; modern web tech (TypeScript/JavaScript, Node, Next.js/React).
- Defining and delivering large-scale digital solutions in complex landscapes.
Preferred:
- Enterprise Procurement business processes.
- SAP ecosystem (SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP; integrations with OneStream, SAP BPC, Signavio).
- AI/agentic workflow integration.
- Python (or similar) and familiarity with Databricks or Power BI.
