Lead Controls Engineer, Operational Technology

Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Operational Technology Automation team.
- Lead automation system projects for upgrades and/or new implementations as a subject matter expert.
- Support distributed control systems, manufacturing/packaging automation, and environmental monitoring systems.
- Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, HMIs, and field devices under strict change control; perform preventative maintenance.
- Perform network troubleshooting, database troubleshooting, and code troubleshooting/revisions.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, IT, and validation on system configuration, network architecture, software requirements, graphics, programming, and sequence of operations.
- Review automation system specifications and implementation plans; verify standards are met and GAMP/cGxP procedures and testing are followed.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or information technology.
- 8+ years automation experience: PLC programming/connectivity, industrial networking; Schneider EcoStruxure, Wonderware Archestra, and Elpro environmental monitoring.
- Experience in FDA-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Experience working on construction projects.
- Strong organizational skills; manage multiple demands and priorities.
- Superior database maintenance/development; computer hardware/software validation and change control experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years supervisory experience.
- Portfolio Management Professional (PMP).
