Laboratory Technician I

Role: Laboratory Technician I responsible for the timely and accurate execution of regulated clinical laboratory tests for lung disease diagnosis within a CLIA-certified environment. Responsibilities include performing test procedures, data entry into LIMS, equipment maintenance, SOP adherence, contributing to audit readiness, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The role encompasses cross-functional interactions and may involve weekend, holiday, and evening shifts due to the 7-day lab operation. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a laboratory science or related field, with experience in high-complexity testing preferred; technical proficiency with lab equipment such as HPLC, LC-MS, or ELISA is advantageous; strong attention to detail, knowledge of GLP and lab safety, and basic computer skills. Preferred: experience in regulated diagnostics, familiarity with HIPAA compliance, and prior exposure to molecular testing modalities. The role emphasizes quality, accuracy, and compliance in a diagnostics environment focused on lung disease testing. Expected to support CAP/CLIA and state-specific lab standards. Work setup: on-site in De Soto, KS, with potential for weekend and holiday hours, and includes thorough onboarding and training.
