Laboratory Systems Scientist

Role: Laboratory Systems Scientist supporting laboratory operations infrastructure as a technical SME within Foresight Diagnostics, a molecular diagnostics company focused on non-invasive cancer detection. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and validating laboratory software and automation solutions; collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine user requirements; and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (CAP, CLIA, NYSDOH). The role involves designing validation plans, executing testing, analyzing data, and authoring SOPs and training materials to maintain high laboratory performance. It also entails supporting automation development, process improvements, and equipment maintenance programs, alongside maintaining wet lab proficiency when necessary. Requirements: 4+ years of relevant laboratory experience or 2+ years with an MS/PhD in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical sciences; experience with molecular biology workflows, particularly NGS; familiarity with validation processes, laboratory software (LIMS, FreezerPro), and GxP environments; strong problem-solving, data analysis, and communication skills. Preferred: agile methodologies and cross-disciplinary collaboration experience.
