Laboratory Supervisor - Blood Bank

Role: Lead laboratory operations in the Blood Bank department at Tuft Medical Center, overseeing staff and ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Responsibilities: supervise daily lab activities, ensure accurate and timely test reporting, mentor and train personnel, monitor workflow, manage staffing, troubleshoot production errors, improve processes, maintain equipment through QC, compile QA documentation, evaluate process enhancements, conduct staff coaching, perform bench work as needed, and oversee policy compliance and administrative tasks. Requirements: Associate’s degree in a chemical, biological, or clinical lab science; 5+ years as a technologist or technician; preferred Senior or Lead Technologist experience; ASCP or AMT certification preferred; strong knowledge of CLIA, CAP, state regulations; proficiency with LIS and MS Office; excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills; physical ability to meet job demands.
