Laboratory Specimen Processor

Role: Specimen Processor responsible for preparing and handling laboratory specimens to support diagnostic testing. Responsibilities include unpacking, labeling, routing, packing, shipping specimens, data entry, and resolving specimen issues, all while meeting departmental productivity goals. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; preferred experience in specimen processing or medical/laboratory settings (3+ months); comfort with handling biological samples, accurate specimen identification, basic computer skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Additional requirements include physical capability, passing a color blindness test, and flexibility for overtime or shift changes. Work Setup: On-site in RTP, NC; Tuesday-Saturday 8:30am-5:00pm.
