Laboratory Operations Associate

Role: Laboratory Operations Associate supporting sample management and lab operations at Serif Biomedicines, an early-stage biotech focusing on gene therapy. Responsibilities: develop and maintain sample inventory systems, coordinate sample handoffs, organize cargo, support procurement of reagents, perform lab equipment maintenance, support lab onboarding, and ensure safety/compliance. Requirements: BS in Biology, Chemistry, or related field; 2+ years in lab operations or sample management; hands-on experience with cytometers, Fragment Analyzers, chromatography; strong organizational and communication skills; ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Preferred: experience with Benchling or other LIMS, and lab equipment troubleshooting. High-value biopharma specifics: support a CMC environment, working closely with scientists and operations teams to facilitate gene therapy development.
