Role: Clinical Veterinarian within Lilly's Department of Nonclinical Safety Assessment, focusing on supporting rodent-based preclinical research programs. Responsibilities: oversee daily health care and colony monitoring for rats and mice, provide guidance on surgical models, collaborate on protocol development for IACUC review, ensure compliance with research policies, and contribute to training in vivo personnel. Requirements: DVM/VMD with at least 3 years in Laboratory Animal Medicine; eligibility for Indiana Veterinary License and USDA accreditation; hands-on surgical and clinical experience with rodents; familiarity with rodent pathogens and biosecurity. Preferred: ACLAM certification or eligibility, experience with AAALAC inspections, expertise in rodent anesthesia and perioperative care, and residency in Laboratory Animal Medicine.
