Laboratory Animal Care Technician I

Role: Laboratory Animal Care Technician I responsible for ensuring animal well-being in compliance with SOPs and regulations. Core responsibilities include routine husbandry, facility sanitation, animal welfare monitoring, recordkeeping, and assisting with in-life study procedures. The role supports study initiation, data collection, and animal management, including handling, weighing, and euthanasia. Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent; prior animal handling experience; physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, and move throughout shifts; manual dexterity; visual acuity; and ability to travel. Preferred: AALAS certification. High-value biopharma specifics: animal care for laboratory research, compliance with GLP, USDA, AAALAC, and OLAW standards; support for research studies, possibly involving multiple species and study protocols.
