Lab Operations Manager

Role: Laboratory Operations Manager within Lilly's SMDD, supporting development and commercialization of parenteral formulations of small and large molecules. Primary objectives include ensuring efficient lab functions, supply chain management, safety compliance, and equipment maintenance. Responsibilities encompass managing lab supplies, supporting capital procurement, coordinating equipment installation and repair, maintaining storage practices, and facilitating safety initiatives. The role involves liaising with vendors, supervising lab maintenance, and optimizing operational efficiency. Requirements: BS in science or technical field with 4+ years in biotech/pharma, or equivalent experience (e.g., HS diploma with 8+ years). Preferred: 2+ years of lab management, procurement, inventory oversight, and strong communication skills. High-value specifics: biopharma industry experience, lab management, supply chain logistics, safety compliance, and familiarity with lab IT systems. No travel outside Indianapolis expected, with exposure to chemicals and loud noises.
