Lab Manager - Histology/Cytology

Role: Clinical Laboratory Manager overseeing Histology and Cytology departments at Ascension St. Vincent. Key responsibilities include managing daily operations, staffing, ensuring regulatory compliance (CAP, CLIA, ISO), and maintaining quality standards; performing bench testing as needed; developing procedures; and fostering team development. Requirements: Bachelor’s in a Chemical or Biological Science, Medical Technology, or Clinical Laboratory Science; minimum 5 years as a histotechnologist with supervisory experience; Florida Histology Supervisor License. Preferred: ASCP Histology certification and extensive leadership in lab management. High-value: leadership in a clinical diagnostics setting, with focus on histology and cytology workflows, regulatory compliance, team development, and process optimization. Work setup: on-site Jacksonville, FL; schedule Monday-Friday with occasional weekends.
