Role: Support Technician for laboratory automation in a clinical genetics setting, focusing on instrument calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and vendor coordination to ensure optimal lab operations. Responsibilities: perform preventive and corrective maintenance on sequencing and analytic instruments, support validation and commissioning of new equipment, document activities, manage inventory, and assist with SOP updates and staff training. Requirements: Bachelorβs in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field; 1+ year experience in a high-complexity, regulated clinical lab environment, preferably with NGS, FDA, ISO 13485/15189, GMP, or GLP standards. Preferred: additional experience in clinical genetics labs, vendor communication, and high sample volume settings. High-Value: clinical genetics, NGS technologies, regulated lab environment, equipment support, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration. WorkSetup: full-time, shift support (including some weekends), based in San Francisco; travel to vendor sites (e.g., Reno, Boston, Bay Area) may be required. The role emphasizes technical proficiency, organizational skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to work under pressure.
