Lab Assistant - Microbiology

Role: Lab Assistant supporting clinical laboratory operations in Birmingham, AL. Responsibilities: receive, sort, prepare, and process specimens; perform minor instrumentation maintenance; troubleshoot specimen issues; maintain documentation, and ensure safety and cleanliness. Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent; basic computer skills; ability to handle biological specimens, work quickly and accurately, and operate in a fast-paced environment. Preferred qualifications include at least 3 months of specimen processing or laboratory experience. High-Value: specimen processing, clinical lab environment, safety and quality compliance, teamwork, and attention to detail. Work setup: shift-based (Tuesday-Saturday, 4:00am-12:30pm), with flexibility for overtime or other shifts.
