Lab Assistant - Histology

Role: Lab Assistant at Labcorp supporting clinical laboratory operations. Objectives: perform specimen accessioning, prepare samples, and maintain lab workflows to ensure accurate and efficient testing processes. Responsibilities: receive, sort, and process specimens; data entry; equipment maintenance; troubleshoot issues; replenish supplies; uphold safety and quality standards; complete administrative tasks. Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent; 1+ year specimen accessioning experience; comfort with biological specimens; attention to detail; basic computer skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred: 1+ year lab assistant experience. High-Value: clinical lab setting, specimen handling, data entry, quality and safety adherence, working in high-volume production. Work setup: on-site at Nashville, TN, with shift from 6am-2:30pm, Monday to Friday; flexibility for overtime.
