Role: Support manufacturing start-up and operations for Lilly's new Medicine Foundry, focusing on chemical process transfer, equipment startup, and process execution for APIs across modalities such as small molecules, peptides, oligonucleotides, and high-potent compounds. Responsibilities: Operate and troubleshoot pilot plant and kilo lab equipment, ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and quality standards, execute process scaling, support process documentation, and collaborate cross-functionally with process scientists, engineers, and safety teams during facility commissioning and steady-state operations. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED; 3+ years manufacturing experience, GMP and chemical processing background preferred; mechanical aptitude and familiarity with solvents, large equipment, and process safety. Preferred: Experience in facility startup, kilo-scale glassware, and unit operations like distillation and chromatography; understanding of FDA cGMP guidelines; proficiency with process automation systems like Delta V and Pi. High-Value: Role involves working in regulated manufacturing environments, supporting the transition from design to operations in a novel integrated research and manufacturing site, with international travel (~10%) and shift flexibility in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is a manufacturing-based position supporting clinical API production in a pioneering biopharma setting.
