Hematology Key Account Manager (KAM) — Ohio (Virtual)
Responsibilities
- Drive access, demand, and strategic growth across Takeda’s Hematology portfolio in assigned geography and key accounts.
- Build partnerships with Hemophilia Treatment Centers (HTCs), IDNs, hospitals, academic institutions, and community hematology practices.
- Achieve/exceed sales targets and MBO goals via territory/account strategies.
- Develop and execute territory and strategic account plans (stakeholder mapping, prioritization, tactical execution).
- Serve as primary account manager for assigned Hematology key accounts; act as a strategic intermediary for institutional/non-acute customers.
- Drive formulary, protocol, and pathway access by engaging clinical, pharmacy, medical policy, operations, and financial stakeholders.
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with HTCs, IDNs, and other prioritized health systems.
- Analyze data to guide sales strategy and resource utilization.
- Maintain disease-state/product expertise; identify and cultivate KOL relationships.
- Coordinate cross-functionally (Medical, Patient & Market Access, Marketing, Community Education Specialists, other KAMs) within compliance guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS).
- 5+ years direct selling to healthcare professionals (or equivalent specialty healthcare experience).
- Account/territory management experience in healthcare.
- Strong understanding of hematology/hospital/IDN landscape.
- Experience supporting/executing product launches in complex healthcare environments.
- Experience creating business/account plans aligned to corporate objectives.
- Working knowledge of payer access/reimbursement/managed care.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills; influence stakeholders.
- Reside within or near assigned geography.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience generating acute demand (institutional).
- Buy-and-bill and specialty pharmacy collaboration.
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PharmD, or similar).
- Experience influencing C- and D-suite and senior clinical leadership.
Licenses/Travel/Training
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to drive/fly; up to 25–50% overnight travel.
- Complete mandatory product training with written/oral exams.
Compensation
- U.S. base salary range: $160,000–$220,000.
