POSITION: Key Account Manager (KAM) β hospital-based or integrated sites of care-based role managing key accounts across the Hoboken, NJ territory.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Increase product access and sales by navigating institutional formulary approval and educating customers on appropriate product use.
- Secure product placement on account protocols and ensure products are in EMR systems.
- Develop relationships with local infusion sites, LTACHs, and home infusion companies.
- Create territory and account-level plans to grow utilization, formulary access, and expand the customer base.
- Align solutions, messaging, and stakeholders to maximize account performance.
- Build relationships with physicians, medical staff, pharmacies, and hospital opinion leaders.
- Plan and implement hospital-oriented education forums.
- Partner with hospital treatment committees to include products in disease state protocols.
- Support continuity of care for discharging patients via discharge protocols/orders and reimbursement resources.
- Coordinate with Sales, Medical Affairs, National Accounts, Marketing, and Sales Administration on pull-through initiatives and formulary changes.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven hospital environment sales success; recent acute care or integrated sites of care sales experience.
- Ability to create alternate sites of care; understanding of buy-and-bill.
- Experience launching products/solutions in hospital/account settings.
- Highly motivated self-starter; works well independently and in a team under shifting priorities.
- Strong project management; ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Ability to learn and use technical product knowledge; relationship-building skills.
- Willingness/ability to provide proof of childhood immunizations and negative TB test (per hospital credentialing).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelorβs degree required.
- 7+ years related pharmaceutical sales/marketing/training.
- 3+ years in an account selling role (hospital/account ecosystem).
- Valid driverβs license and clean driving record.
- Travel as needed for territory and to attend meetings/conferences.
- Preferred: Buy/Bill and Home Infusion experience; hospital experience in Acute Care, Infectious Disease, and/or Hemodialysis.
