IT Systems Administrator Co-op (Spring 2027)

Responsibilities:
- Provide services for day-to-day operating objectives of the assigned area; participate in Wave IT projects and programs; support the Head of IT Operations.
- Gain knowledge of IT Department technologies and procedures.
- Receive guidance, training, and mentoring from senior IT Team members.
- Assist with tasks supporting Enterprise Infrastructure and building foundational skills and knowledge.
- Assist with ticket management and resolution.
- Communicate effectively with customers, managers, mentors, and team members on work status; ask relevant questions and listen attentively.
- Utilize FreshService and Atlassian applications to coordinate support activities.
- Participate in infrastructure-related projects; maintain thorough documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Create and update Knowledge Base (KB) documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a Computer Science or related bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college/university.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Strong Windows OS background.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-organized; ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to manage responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to take direction to resolve incidents quickly and effectively.
- Able to complete routine tasks independently over time (develop functional, technical, and problem-solving skills).
