IT System Manager III - API manufacturing

Role: IT Systems Governance Specialist supporting pharmaceutical IT systems within Novo Nordisk's emerging technologies and chemical API development in Virginia. Responsibilities: manage full system lifecycle including development, validation, maintenance, change control, compliance with GxP and regulatory standards, incident management, and system retirement; ensure documentation, security, validation, and audit readiness; lead cross-functional projects for system improvements; support audits and inspections; oversee system support contracts and lifecycle planning. Requirements: Bachelor's in computer science, engineering, or related field plus minimum 7 years in pharma IT system operation; or equivalent experience with higher education; strong troubleshooting, GxP documentation, validation, and lifecycle management expertise; familiarity with automation/IT systems, batch processes, and IT frameworks (ITIL, GAMP, 21 CFR Part 11). Preferred: experience supporting automation and API processes, statistical analysis, and regulatory audits. Work setup: office-based with up to 10% travel; primarily focused on system compliance, validation, and lifecycle management for pharmaceutical IT systems.
