Role Summary

IT Supply Applications Lead responsible for leveraging functional, hands-on applications and reporting experience to support SAP and other key applications across Supply Chain, Distribution, Manufacturing, and Quality. Collaborates with Supply business and IT stakeholders to define and deliver continuous improvement roadmaps.

Responsibilities

  • Supply Application Strategy: Determine strategy and roadmap for Supply business functions; stay current on manufacturing, regulatory, industry, and technology changes.
  • Stakeholder Management / Partnership & Governance: Identify IT roadmap opportunities with Supply and broader business; mature IT / Supply governance and lead regular business reviews; train and support super users and implement best practices.
  • Application Management: Manage licenses and vendor relationships; collaborate with internal and external vendors on development and support; address security risks with business and Information Security; support audits for policy compliance; evolve application management and change management.
  • Team And Project Leadership: Build collaborative relationships with business and IT partners; lead offshore and onsite vendor and internal teams to meet SLAs; coach team members and vendors; manage IT and business-facing projects to schedule, budget, and quality; manage risks, issues, actions, and decisions; address workload and resourcing constraints.
  • Procedures And Controls: Mature IT and business processes and training documentation; review and approve IT procedures and controls.
  • Application Support And Administration: Oversee teams handling day-to-day incidents and requests; maintain system operation per policies/SOPs; conduct regular IT administration activities including training for super users, overseeing interfaces and critical jobs, and SOX/ITGC compliance.
  • Projects And Enhancements: Act as Project Manager for system improvements and enhancements; hands-on across the project lifecycle; gather requirements, perform gap analyses, blueprint, configure, test, document, deploy, and train end-users; collect requirements for SAP/app enhancements; design solutions and process improvements; author training and documentation; lead testing and cutover/deployment planning.

Qualifications

  • Education: 4-year Bachelor’s Degree
  • Field of Study: Business / Engineering or Supply / Operations with focus on Information Technology
  • Industry: Pharmaceuticals / Life science / Manufacturing
  • Computer/Application Skills: Windows, MS Office, ValGenesis, ServiceNow, SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP PP-PI, SAP WMS, SAP IBP, SAP BI, Power BI, Veeva QMS, Manufacturing Execution Systems
  • Experience:
    • At least 7 years of IT Management experience for Supply function applications and processes in a Pharmaceutical/Regulated environment (in-house and outsourced manufacturing)
    • Minimum 10 years SAP MM, SD, PP, WMS with integration knowledge across SAP FICO modules and reporting
    • Experience operating in an SAP Global Template environment with multi-national manufacturing/sub-contracting and intercompany processes
    • Process reengineering experience optimizing Global Supply with internal and external manufacturing models
    • Implementation & support experience integrating SAP with external partners
    • Knowledge of SAP SCM (APO-DP/SNP, Flexible Planning) and SAP IBP Demand/Supply desired
    • Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution, Quality, and Serialization systems (TraceLink) is a plus
    • Strong track record in projects and results within a validated regulatory environment
